Unique atmosphere at the top of Tahko since 1996
Pehku is a unique restaurant at the slopes of Tahko in Nilsiä. It is open all year round.
Restaurant, terrace, sauna, hot tub and the most famous after ski of the winter season – all this in Pehku! The views over Tahko are breathtaking. Welcome to the warm and unique atmosphere of Pehku, with good food, great service and beautiful scenery. Come and enjoy.
In Pehku, you can also organize unforgettable dinners, parties, weddings and meetings for up to 120 people. There is also room for more than thousand people for summer parties on the terraces.
Tahko’s observation tower is located next to the restaurant Pehku. The magnificent tower, about 13 meters high, opened in October 2019 and is open all year round.
How to get here
The shortest route to Pehku in winter is the Kisarinne anchor lift. It is the first lift on left when coming from the parking lot of Tahkonlahdentie. Outside of the ski season, Pehku can also be reached via Tahko’s Stairs, hiking, mountain biking or by panorama chairlift. There is no winter maintenance on the Huutavanholma hiking trail, but snowshoes can be worn in the forest. By car Pehku can be reached along Pehkuntie (distance about 13 km from the center of Tahko).

Lunch, dinner, fondue, burgers, snacks and much more.
After ski
On Fridays and Saturdays, 1:30pm – 4.30pm. The dates will be updated on the page http://www.pehku.fi/afterski/.
The Pehku party bus only runs in March-April. Departure from the front of Break Sokos Hotel Tahko at 13:03. The return trip leaves from the Pehku parking lot at 16:42. Price 5 € / direction, cash only. We reserve the right to cancel transportation due to weather conditions.
Sauna
Book in advance. Max. 20 people at a time, 2 hours. Towels and shampoos are included in the price. The sauna has A-licenses, drinks and snacks are charged separately. Ask our staff about the menu.

16-20 people 450 €
21-29 people 500 €
30+ people 550 €
Sauna shifts daily in even hours from 10 am to 10 pm. Extra charge for large groups 100 € / hour. Hot tub (extra charge) 270 €.
Fondue dinner
Book a fondue dinner from 38 € / person. Ask our staff about the menu.

The kitchen closes half an hour before closing time. In the evenings we serve by appointment, please book in advance. You can find our opening hours on the front page of pehku.fi.
